A new study, published in the Economic Journal, shows that crowd-sourced online review websites play an important role in consumer decisions. An analysis of 328 restaurant reviews on Yelp found that an increase of a half-star in ratings corresponded to a 19 percent greater likelihood of selling out during peak dining times.

Campus adds AT&T Wi-Fi alongside Airbears in law, business schools

The campus has added AT&T Wi-Fi Services to the wireless infrastructure in the Haas School of Business and Boalt Hall to give students, faculty and staff additional connectivity options. The rest of the campus will receive this service over the next 16 months. Both AT&T SSID (attwifi) and AirBears will be carried by the campus high-speed data network.
Climate change and business research initiative gains traction

But the Climate Change and Business Research Initiative has shown that the two sides’ objectives can not only co-exist, but be mutually beneficial. The program — connecting leaders from business, government, nonprofits — is run jointly by the law schools at UC Berkeley and UCLA.
