A 22-member Cal Team rides out of San Francisco early Sunday, June 3 on the annual AIDS LifeCycle fundraiser. They will use social media to post daily accounts and photos from their 545-mile trip to L.A.. Starting Monday, the rest of us will be able to follow them on Storify.

Defying threats of rain (which luckily didn’t materialize), close to 2,400 cyclists took off from San Francisco early Sunday morning on the first leg of the 2011 AIDS LifeCycle benefit ride.
