A former U.S. poet laureate and an environmental scientist join forces for a popular freshman class that highlights the intersection of science and poetry. Robert Hass, professor of English, and Garrison Sposito, professor of environmental science, policy and management, say the course gives students tools to better assess claims made by all sides in public debates about science and environmental policy.
