UC Commission on the Future releases final report

December 6, 2010:

The final recommendations of the UC Commission on the Future were unveiled Monday, Dec. 6. The panel addressed five broad areas of concern: teaching and curriculum, undergraduate enrollment and access, research and graduate education, fiscal discipline and administrative reform, and public education and advocacy.

Campus to expand reading and composition curriculum

March 11, 2010:

UC Berkeley plans to significantly increase funding to support reading and composition courses, Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost George Breslauer announced March 10. The intent is to ensure that all undergraduates can complete this important requirement before entering their junior year.
