What students want from T’graph and Downtown: Better shops, less grubbiness

Students want better shops, less grunge, survey finds

June 1, 2011:

Berkeley students say they want better shops on Telegraph Avenue and in downtown Berkeley, and a cleaner, safer-feeling environment, according to the results of a survey conducted by the Graduate Assembly and the ASUC to help inform city planners, politicos and business groups.

Chancellor’s fund focuses on education and economic development

July 13, 2011:

The Chancellor’s Community Partnership Fund has awarded $260,000 to 15 projects that involve partnerships between UC Berkeley students and community groups. This year, the largest grants are for projects that focus on education and economic development.
