The International Consortium of Investigative Journalists has awarded photojournalist Mimi Chakarova and the Center for Investigative Journalism its 2011 Daniel Pearl Awards for Outstanding International Investigative Reporting. The Berkeley lecturer spent seven years making the documentary “The Price of Sex,” which details how criminal networks force Eastern European women into prostitution abroad.
