King of Pop: Scholarly journal looks at life and influence of Michael Jackson

UC Berkeley professors Tamara Roberts (Music) and Brandi Catanese (African American Studies and Theater, Dance, & Performance Studies) are editors of a special edition of the Journal on Popular Music Studies titled “Michael Jackson in/as U.S. Popular Culture.” The issue — looking at Jackson’s profound impact on popular culture from many angles — is now available online.
