More than 16,000 expected to take summer classes

May 21, 2012:

Enrollment in the Summer Sessions 2012 is projected to exceed 16,000 — making it another record-breaking season for the program, which offers more than 600 courses. UC Berkeley students make up 75 percent of the campus’s summer scholars.

3 campus units to become single entity

March 2, 2011:

In a reorganization to take effect Sept. 1, Berkeley Programs for Study Abroad, the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute and Summer Sessions will merge, with shared accounting, IT, human-resources and other common functions.
