City of Berkeley lauds zero-waste stadium initiative

February 6, 2012:

At a Feb. 4 basketball game, Berkeley Mayor Tom Bates presented a city proclamation lauding Cal Athletics for its trial-run recycling efforts at Haas Pavilion this season, and “its commitment to the goal of achieving zero waste at California Memorial Stadium” when that facility reopens this fall.
